Nickson Muti had an interest in art as a schoolboy and joined his primary school’s art club. By age fourteen, Nickson met artist Tamuka Njanji, where he learned various art media. Eventually he met international Zimbabwean sculptor Nobert Shamhuyarira and through apprenticeship, learned sculpting.
From his mentors and visiting art dealers, he has gained more international attention and has been a guest artist at exhibitions in several countries including South Korea, South Africa, Mozambique and Botswana to name a few.
